Learn 3 easy steps to getting into living naturally can be as easy as looking into your own pantry. You may have everything you need already!

Honey has been used for century’s as a sweetener and for the medicinal properties.

It is a staple for living a more natural lifestyle, in traditional Chinese medicine and is overall a great thing to have on hand in your pantry. God knew we needed something amazing and powerful to help us stay healthy and honey definitely is a powerful resource for this.

Honey has so many powerful benefits alone!

Honey is rich in antioxidants, it is a natural antibacterial, and it’s soothing to throat. Not only is it great for consumption, but topically, it holds a ton of value.

Honey is great for the skin, it can be used on the skin alone or it can be put into lotions, scrubs, or masks to help soften, soothe, treat and moisturize the skin. With honey having anti-inflammatory and antibacterial infections, it is great at helping treat acne, wounds, burns and skin irritations. It has a ton of humectant and emollient properties which helps attract and draw moisture to the skin and create a protective barrier. This makes your skin feel very nourished and moisturized.

It is amazing in soap as well because it adds conditioning and bubbly properties to it.

When honey is put into soap, it moisturizes the skin, adds soothing and nourishing properties, it provides lots of fun bubbles and is gentle for sensitive skin. I absolutely love adding honey into soap for this reason. This soap is amazing especially since it also contains 100% grass-fed tallow and colloidal oatmeal which can aid in soothing the skin.

Why do you need to make fermented garlic and honey?

Fermented garlic and honey has been a homeopathic staple for years and years. It is a necessity for many homes and a necessity for you to make because it is sooo easy! All you need is a jar, garlic and honey.

Garlic is a powerhouse of nutrients and beneficial health properties. Not only has it been shown to be disease preventing and have antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties but combined with the soothing and powerful properties of honey, it is a must for cold and flu season or if you get sick often.

When you put these two amazing powerhouses together that God has made just for our use, we create a powerful fermentation that can be used can help to boost your immune system which can help with sicknesses such as cold and flu, sore throats and coughs. The fermentation of both ingredients are heightened and enhance the bioavailability of nutrients in garlic and honey, which makes them easier for the body to absorb and utilize. Which can be a great option to defend against infections and illnesses.

When you combine the garlic and honey, the garlic loses its spiciness and takes on more of the sweetness of honey as time goes on. Everything mixes together creating an awesome shelf stable natural remedy. It helps boost immunity, can help prevent cold and flu or speed up the recovery process and it also helps soothe the throat and help with cough.

Making fermented garlic and honey is easy!

What you need:

Sealable Jar

Garlic Cloves – Peeled

Raw Honey

And that’s all! Amounts needed will be dependent on how large your jar is.

Preparation:

Peel all your garlic cloves and cut exceptionally large ones if you desire. You will need enough to fill your jar at least half way but leave approximately about 2 inches of headspace. Once garlic is in the jar, fill with honey. Seal the jar and set in a location where you will be able to remember it and care for it for the next 2 weeks as it starts to ferment.

For the next 2 weeks, you will need to BURP YOUR JAR. To do this, open the jar to release air. This prevents it from “exploding” or spilling out from excess gas pressure. After, flip your jar a bit to mix everything up to ensure everything is well incorporated. Do this every day for the next 2 weeks.

After the 2 weeks are past from when you first put your mixture together, you no longer will need to burp your jar or shake it but you shouldn’t start using the honey garlic until after 6 weeks. This is because it takes time for the fermentation to happen and the potency of it to increase.

The longer the jar sits and is combined with the garlic, the more potent, richer and sweeter it will become. You will find that the honey is much more liquid and the garlic is much softer and sweeter as time goes on.

Due to the honey being a natural shelf stable and preservative, the garlic is naturally preserved and is shelf stable for many years.

How to take Fermented Honey Garlic:

Take a spoonful or 2 or 3 or 6 of the honey and eat as many garlic cloves as needed at the first sign of catching a bug, a tickle in the throat, or to simply to boost your immune system. This concoction can help prevent sickness or help speed up recovery from the onset of cold/flu symptoms. Take often and as frequently as needed.

There is really no hard and fast rule to taking this mixture. I’ve seen some take a spoonful of honey and eat a clove a day to help boost immunity. I’ve also seen people take as many as 3-4 spoonfuls and 4-5 cloves a few times a day to help with sickness. You can also simply just take the honey and not eat any of the cloves.

And that is all!
